The Hotel at Auburn University named finalist in Sharecare Awards

The Hotel at Auburn University has been named a finalist in the 2021 Sharecare Awards for its video, “Peace of Mind: The Hotel at Auburn University Doubles Down on Hygiene Amid Pandemic.” 

The Sharecare Awards promote and reward excellence for the best productions and programming in health and well-being. The video, a finalist in the COVID Care & Pandemic Response category, showcased The Hotel’s ramped up cleaning protocols and safety measures during the pandemic. 

“Peace of Mind” is one of 56 finalists chosen across 14 categories for this award and will be evaluated by a panel of judges from the Sharecare Awards Academy. 

Health and safety measures showcased in the video include hand sanitizing stations, contact-free check in, hospital-grade disinfectants and high-tech electrostatic sprayers, among others. 

“We are delighted that our video—created to provide peace of mind to our guests during their stay—is nominated for this award,” said Hans van der Reijden. “We have received such positive reviews from guests via social media and post-stay reports that indicated the video made them feel more comfortable traveling to our Hotel.

“What stood out more than anything to our guests was not only the fact that we delivered on our promises in our video, but the level of deeply warm and caring service they experienced at our Hotel. There is nothing like ‘Southern Hospitality,’ and our team members took this to a whole new level during the pandemic. We are excited and honored with this nomination.” 

The Hotel’s audio visual team of Jake Wooley, Jordan Cunningham and Kimberly Hyde planned, filmed and edited the video, which can be viewed on The Hotel’s YouTube channel.
