“Alabama Magazine” readers named the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University as the top art museum for 2021 in the annual “Best of Bama Awards.” The online competition recognizes the statewide standard bearers in entertainment, restaurants, people and places. The museum also made the list in 2012 and 2013.

Based in Birmingham, the bi-monthly, award-winning publication showcases feature articles which cover the entire state promoting people, businesses, heritage and culture. The museum is open with free admission Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with extended hours on Thursdays until 8 p.m. Current exhibitions include the blockbuster “Crafting America,” on loan from the premier Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Voting is open for 2022 nominations as well. Click here for more information.
