The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University is hosting an Americana-themed party titled “Red, White & You” to celebrate its monumental new exhibition “Crafting America” on Friday, July 9.

Admission for the event—which begins at 6 p.m. CT—is $50 and includes entertainment from the Sweet Auburn String Band, food pairings curated by Ariccia Cucina Italiana and beverages. Visit to purchase tickets. 

Featuring 90 works in ceramics, fiber, wood, metal glass and more unexpected materials, “Crafting America” presents a diverse and inclusive story of American craft from the 1940s to today. Esteemed artists include Sonya Clark, Beatrice Wood, Shan Goshorn, Nick Cave and Maria Martinez. Auburn is a first stop for the exhibition following a sensational debut at the famed Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas.
