The College of Liberal Arts, or CLA, is launching a new podcast called, “Things You Didn’t Know You Didn’t Know” to highlight groundbreaking faculty research happening across the college.

Each episode, host Brandon Etheredge sits down with a researcher to chat about their research findings and to expose audiences to interesting parts of life that most people don’t know that they don’t know about.

“As a land grant institution, our charge is to serve the public good and what better way to do that than making research insights accessible to a broad audience,” said Brandon Etheredge, CLA director of multimedia services and host of the "Things You Didn’t Know You Didn’t Know" podcast.

The podcasts topics will be as varied as the research produced within CLA. Whether it is a community planning professor discussing how the creation of the interstate played a role in the civil rights movement or a phycology professor discussing what your social media posts say about you, each episode will look to expose audiences to something they have likely never thought about.

“We want listeners to finish an episode and feel like they have learned something that helps them better understand the world we live in, with trusted information straight from the experts,” Etheredge said. “Our faculty experts break down their research in a way that is understandable and entertaining.”

Things you Didn’t Know You Didn’t Know is available to stream now on all podcast apps including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Tune In and iHeart Radio.
