Adobe Creative Cloud and multimedia workshops and sessions offered by Auburn University Libraries’ Innovation and Research Commons

To help users learn how to use the creative applications of the Adobe Creative Cloud currently offered to students for free by the university, the Auburn University Libraries’ Innovation & Research Commons, or I&RC, is offering instructional workshops open to all Auburn students, faculty and staff. Topics offered include Adobe Photoshop for Beginners, Digital Video: Adobe Premiere Rush and, new this late spring, Create a Moving Zoom Background. Learn to use creative apps to enhance classroom assignments, present research, and design and publish both print and online content. Students can use these resources to help finish their semester projects.

Workshops will take place in-person and via Zoom simultaneously. View early April 2021 I&RC Workshop information here. Attend in-person and use the I&RC's lab computers or attend online and use the new desktop computers in the I&RC.  Those unable to attend or in need of Adobe video how-to content for their courses can go here for recorded sessions available on-demand. Customized instructional sessions for classes are also available upon request, and Adobe consultants are available in-person and via Zoom for one-on-one assistance.

Creating Graphics: Adobe Photoshop for Beginners

Learn the basics of Photoshop and develop photo editing skills to enhance class assignments and projects, including combining graphics with layered text and images for collages, adjusting photo colors and adding effects. April 5, 3 to 4 p.m.

Create a Moving Zoom Background

Want to create customized moving backgrounds for a presentation? Learn the basics of the timeline in Adobe Photoshop to create your own Zoom video backgrounds for your next meeting, presentation, or game night with friends. April 7, 3 to 4 p.m.

Digital Video: Adobe Premiere Rush

Those in need of a quick way to create slick video on the fly are cnouraged to participate. Participants will explore Adobe Premiere Rush for video creation and editing. Adobe ID required http://adobe.auburn.edu. Use a computer with Rush installed. Additional mobile device recommended. Discover Adobe’s free resources that will empower you to use more powerful video apps such as Premiere Pro. Basic videography tips included.
