Women's Leadership Conference set for March 23

On March 23, the annual Women's Leadership Conference will be held at The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center. The event will be held simultaneously as an in-person event and virtual event on Zoom. Registration is currently underway online and can be accessed here.

This year's Women's Leadership Conference is titled "Wonder Women: A New Age of Empowered Leadership" and will offer an array of workshops on topics that further personal development, including providing students with a tangible approach to salary negotiations, helping women build a lifestyle that fully integrates work and life, and exploring important strategies for life after college and successfully navigating this transition. The conference is open to all students, faculty, staff and members of the community.

Welcome snd Keynote: 12 p.m.–1:30 p.m.

Concurrent sessions: 2 p.m.– 2:50 p.m.

Smart Salary Negotiations

Presenter: Addye Buckley-Burnell, assistant director, Career Development

This session will provide students with a tangible approach to salary negotiations.

Going Beyond Boundaries

Presenter: Laura Chipman

Building a meaningful professional practice and personal life requires a deep examination of core values, individual interests and ultimate career aspirations. This session will provide women with the skills necessary to move beyond the temptation to “balance it all” and offer insight into shaping a lifestyle that fully integrates work and life.

Making the Move from College Student to Successful Professional

Presenter: Necole Turner, JD

Moving into life as a new professional is an exciting endeavor. While new challenges often surface, learning to navigate this space is an incredible journey. This session explores life after college and will offer women important strategies for successfully navigating this transition

You CAN have it all…

Presenter: Tracy Richards

Defining a professional practice is a complex endeavor that often requires an internal audit and a deeper understanding of self. When you are prepared to move into your destiny, a fulfilling life as a practitioner will follow. This session explores the natural convergence of preparation and opportunity and examines how participants can leverage their passions to maximize their leadership potential.

Networking And Closing: 4 p.m.– 5:30 p.m.

Mindfulness in Work-Life Integration

Presenter: Michelle Torbor, MA, LPC, NCC, Cardinal Wellness

This session will provide attendees with an opportunity to explore the nuances of work-life integration while networking with peers and industry professionals.
