‘Attracting the Media Spotlight’ session to be offered to faculty Jan. 29

The Auburn Research Faculty Symposium on Jan. 29 will include the Zoom session, “Attracting the Media Spotlight: Why it’s Worth Your Time, What Makes News and How to Work the Process,” to help faculty communicate their research to the public. Publicity can provide many benefits, such as leading to more partnerships with agencies and industry, increasing funding, attracting students and new faculty, creating professional growth and, ultimately, helping citizens apply research to solve pressing issues. Representatives from the Office of Communications and Marketing will present the session from 2:30-3:30 p.m. More information about the symposium is available on the symposium website, which will contain Zoom links through Canvas/Auburn Catalog.
