Auburn Center for Evaluation continues growth, adds new contracts

Over the past several weeks, the Auburn Center for Evaluation, or ACE, has signed contracts totaling more than $420,000. This continued growth underscores the center’s mission of providing evaluation services to local, state-wide and international clients.

ACE is based in the Department of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Technology in the College of Education at Auburn University.

The total includes a major collaboration with The Pew Charitable Trusts to evaluate legal portals in Ohio, Minnesota, Alaska and Hawaii, a series of contracts with the learning science company McGraw Hill in Arkansas and California, as well as a major proactive evaluation of the Andalusia, Alabama, city school system.

In addition, ACE also has been contracted to evaluate several on-campus National Science Foundation projects ranging from plant pathology to materials engineering. Finally, ACE has continued to expand its list of school-based evaluation clients in ongoing evaluations of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers throughout the state.

“These agreements will allow us to continue to work with national and international partners, while expanding our list of clients within the region,” said Daniel Henry, the center’s director. “The pandemic environment has made this a challenging year to grow opportunities in our field, so it is gratifying that we have not only been able to take on new projects but continue working with and expanding on projects with our existing partners. We look forward to these rewarding opportunities and hope to continue our good work going forward.”
