College of Education professor recognized again for scholarly excellence

Elena Aydarova, an assistant professor of social foundations in the Auburn University College of Education, has received another distinction for her recent book. Teacher Education Reform as Political Theater: Russian Policy Dramas, published by SUNY University Press, was recently named as a 2020 Critics’ Book Choice Award recipient from the American Educational Studies Association.

In addition to this recognition, the book now has received the 2020 Outstanding Book Award from the Council on Anthropology and Education. The award “recognizes new, critical and cutting-edge books that make a significant contribution to the anthropology of education.”
