Students are reminded that required GuideSafe reentry testing ends this Friday, Aug. 21, at 6 p.m. A crucial part of Auburn’s A Healthier U plan, the reentry testing for students was the first step in a series of GuideSafe tools designed to facilitate a safe return to campus. Data gathered from testing allows public health officials to identify potential COVID-19 clusters and take appropriate measures to mitigate the virus spread among Auburn’s campus community. In addition to testing, students are also required to complete their Healthcheck daily self-screener and are encouraged to voluntarily enroll in the voluntary Exposure Notification app

“Our students are enthusiastic about being back at Auburn, as evidenced by their willingness to participate in GuideSafe testing,” said Bobby Woodard, senior vice president for student affairs. “The testing, along with completing their daily Healthcheck, is helping us stay healthy and remain on campus.”

Regardless of their COVID-19 test result, students who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone who tested positive for the virus over the past 14 days should contact the Auburn University Medical Clinic at 334-844-9825 or their health care provider for guidance and next steps.
