Auburn police recently investigated an Aug. 23 report of an item of cloth being tucked in a lobby ceiling tile in Dowdell Hall. Authorities reviewed surveillance footage of the area and identified and questioned the students involved, determining that the scrap of clothing’s presence in the ceiling tile was not intended to be perceived as a threatening action and did not hint at anything violent in nature. The case has since been closed.
