Faculty Writing Groups

The writing groups offered by University Writing will help faculty members maintain a healthy writing routine, make progress on writing projects and provide them with feedback from their collegaues. To register for the fall 2020 Faculty Writing Group program, complete this survey by Sunday, Aug. 23. Particpants will be contacted by Aug. 28 about writing group members.

Writing an Effective IRB Protocol – WoW Wednesdays Workshop

This workshop is designed to help faculty, staff and students who are working on an IRB protocol gain a better understanding of common problems with this type of writing and learn strategies to correct them with feedback from members of the IRB. The Effective IRB Protocol workshop will be held on Wednesday, Oct.7, from 2-3:30 p.m. with options for in-person or virtual attendance. Faculty Grant Writing Workshop

This workshop helps participants write effective grant proposals by offering strategies for addressing what funding sources are interested in, tailoring research ideas to fit the call for proposals and developing a compelling narrative. Experts across campus will be joining the session to discuss resources and support for grant writing at Auburn. The grant writing workshop will be held on Nov. 30 from 1-4 p.m. To register, complete this survey.

Faculty Writing Retreat

Each semester, University Writing offers a retreat that supports faculty in powering through writing projects by providing a day of writing. The writing retreat will be held virtually on Dec. 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. To register, complete this survey before 5 p.m. on Nov. 30.
