Human Resources will be introducing a series of eLearning courses on public speaking. The three courses are designed to help Auburn employees become more effective speakers – from gaining confidence to speak before a crowd to honing presentation and facilitation skills.

Each course, available through Fast-Train, takes approximately one hour to complete:

HR950E, “Introduction to Public Speaking”: The first in the series, this course explores public speaking skills such as planning, PowerPoint and ways to meaningfully engage an audience (This course is a prerequisite for the other two courses).

HR951E, “Presentation Skills”: This course focuses on organization, best practices for visuals and effective delivery and successfully responding to questions.

HR952E, “Facilitation and Training Skills”: This course focuses on facilitation and training methods, what makes a good facilitator or trainer and developing effective activities and materials both online and offline.
