The dedication of Camp iCare staff to teaching youth how to be money smart and practice philanthropy hasn’t stopped under the COVID-19 pandemic.

The annual summer camp historically impacts hundreds of youth around Alabama and beyond. With camps canceled this year, Camp iCare staff have adapted and developed camp activity bags, which were distributed throughout Alabama and beyond to schools, nonprofit organizations and individuals to reach thousands of youth this summer.

Under new and existing partnerships, Camp iCare broadened its reach, giving 6,500 youth an opportunity to become more money smart and philanthropically aware.

Camp iCare is a joint venture of the College of Human Sciences’ Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies and the Department of Human Development and Family Studies’ Early Learning Center.
