Following Auburn University’s hosting of the International Writing Across the Curriculum, or IWAC, conference in 2018, current and former Auburn faculty and staff are featured in a follow-up scholarly collection, now available online.

Welcoming more than 350 faculty, staff, administrators and graduate students from institutions across the world, the Office of University Writing hosted the 25th Anniversary of the IWAC conference June 4-6, 2018. While the conference primarily focused on connecting the values of disciplinary faculty to those of writing specialists, it also focused on linking academic courses to learning within co-curricular programs, the relationship of art to written texts and shared learning opportunities among K-12 teachers and higher education faculty.

This spring, the Writing Across the Curriculum Clearinghouse published its peer-reviewed collection of chapters developed from presentations during the Auburn-led conference. Exploring a variety of practices, pedagogies, mindsets and methodologies for use across institutional and disciplinary contexts, Diverse Approaches to Teaching, Learning and Writing Across the Curriculum: IWAC at 25 includes chapters authored by many current and former Auburn University faculty and staff.

The publication is currently available on the Clearinghouse website.
