Auburn team expands 3D printing to assist 16 regional health facilities

Faculty and staff from across Auburn’s campus are utilizing 3D printers to continue to produce personal protective equipment, or PPE, such as face shields and mask strap holders for health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. What began as a local effort to assist East Alabama Medical Center and the Auburn University Medical Clinic on campus has grown to include PPE donations to 16 health facilities across Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia and Kentucky.
