Kinesiology doctoral student inducted into American Associate of Colleges for Teacher Education Holmes Program

Dulce Gomez, a doctoral student in Auburn University’s School of Kinesiology, was recently inducted into the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, or AACTE, Holmes Program. The program supports students who self-identify as racially and ethnically diverse and who are pursuing graduate degrees in education at AACTE member institutes.

“I am honored to have been accepted as a Holmes scholar for Auburn University and take part in a wonderful program that continues to provide mentorship and peer support,” she said.

The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education is the leading voice on educator preparation. AACTE represents more than 800 postsecondary institutions with educator preparation programs dedicated to high-quality, evidence-based preparation that assures educators are ready to teach all learners.
