Whenever times are difficult, we are told to look for "the helpers." Well, you don't have to look very far to find Jennifer Robinson, a faculty member in the Department of Psychological Sciences, who is part of a group of people dedicating their time and talents to making masks for those who need them. According to a recent article in the OA News, Robinson reached out to the East Alabama Medical Center to find out what their needs were, and that is when she was introduced to the East Alabama Mask Makers.

Robinson is also an ardent supporter of the Auburn Student Veterans Association. Robinson joined the Department of Psychological Sciences at Auburn University in 2012, where she has built the only 7T MRI laboratory with the capability to collect over six channels of psychophysiological measurements.

She is interested in the dynamic interaction between the central and autonomic nervous system, and how these two systems support emotional processes. She is also interested in how emotions affect cognition, especially in clinical disorders such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. She is heavily involved with the Auburn University MRI Research Center and holds appointments in the School of Kinesiology and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
