Auburn honors employees with Employee Appreciation Week

Employee Appreciation Week at Auburn University is scheduled for April 6-10. Auburn University Human Resources and campus departments will host several events to recognize the contributions of full-time, part-time and temporary employees. The event schedule is:

• April 6, Department Appreciation Day: To kick off the week, departments and units are encouraged to recognize their employees with their own unique events. Visit the Appreciation Week website at aub.ie/employee-appreciation for event ideas.

• April 7, Auburn University Employee Conference: The theme for this year’s conference, which is open to any Auburn University employee, is “plan, develop and embrace change.” Siran Stacy will be the luncheon speaker. The conference cost, which includes the luncheon, is $50. The cost for the luncheon is $35. The program begins at 7:30 a.m. in The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.

• April 8, Employee Recognition Program: Recent Spirit of Excellence recipients, employee graduates and employees reaching years of service milestones will be honored. The program begins at 2 p.m. in The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.

• April 9, Employee Picnic Lunch: This free event is for all employees. Food will be served from 10:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Ham Wilson Arena. Employees who do not work in facilities are highly encouraged to register online. Employees who work in facilities are already registered.

• April 10, Walk at Lunch: In honor of National Walk at Lunch Day, Auburn's employee walks will occur at various locations across campus. The walks begin at 12 p.m. Walkers should arrive by 11:50 a.m.
