Local quilt groups in Alabama are invited to exhibit a community quilt on May 14-15 at the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities at Pebble Hill as part of a symposium on Alabama quilts and their makers.

Quilts will be exhibited for the public from 3-6 p.m. on May 14 and for symposium participants on May 15. Quilts will be displayed inside the historic Scott-Yarbrough House or courtyard, weather permitting, following a workshop on “Care of Historic Quilts: Best Practices for Preservation” led by Ryan Blocker of the Alabama Department of Archives and History.

For more information or to register for the event, go to aub.ie/quilts or contact Maiben Beard at maiben@auburn.edu. Pebble Hill is located at 101 S. Debardeleben St.
