Hastie honored with Exemplary Paper Award from the American Educational Research Association

Peter Hastie, Alumni Professor and the Wayne T. Smith Distinguished Professor in the School of Kinesiology, was recently awarded the 2019 Exemplary Paper Award from the American Educational Research Association. The award was in the association’s Special Interest Group category on Learning and Instruction in Physical Education.

The paper, “Effects of situational constraints on game-play development over three consecutive Sport Education seasons of invasion games,” was authored by Hastie, Claudio Farias, Steven Harvey and Isabel Mesquita. It was published in Volume 24, Issue 3 of Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy. The article is available online at https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/17408989.2019.1571184.

The authors will be recognized at the annual business meeting of the special interest group in San Francisco, California, on April 18.
