Sulihat Aloba, the president of Auburn University's chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society, was recently elected to serve on the Council of Student Members to represent the region. Each year, Golden Key elects a body of individual leaders to guide the society in achieving its mission. These positions are crucial to the success of Golden Key and are an incredible way for members to develop leadership and communication skills. Additionally, Auburn's Golden Key chapter secretary, Olivia Cook, had her proposal selected as a feature session during the 2019 Golden Key Leadership Summit.

This event will bring together student leaders, advisors, Golden Key staff and chapter members to participate in leadership and professional development, as well as networking opportunities. Keri Hesson, academic programs administrator for the Office of Special Projects and Initiatives, serves as the Auburn University chapter advisor for Golden key and said, "We are so excited that Sulihat and Olivia have been selected to represent our region, as well as Auburn University. Both women have become instrumental in the success of our chapter, and I could not be more proud of the leadership and dedication they continue to display. Their respective selection to represent Auburn University's Golden Key chapter is a testament to their commitment to upholding Golden Key's three pillars of academics, leadership, and service."
