Auburn University will host a vendor software demonstration for an enterprise-wide Electronic Research Administration (ERA) system in room 103 of the OIT Building at 300 Lem Morrison Drive. The demonstration will be held live Jan. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is available in the parking deck adjacent to the building.

This is the second of several demonstrations as the university evaluates products for procurement in the spring. Friday’s vendor will be Key Solutions. Additional information about this vendor is available at https://www.keyusa.com/.

This product provides pre-award proposal development and submission, award negotiation and processing,  IRB, IBC and IACUC protocol management modules, animal facility operations management, post-approval monitoring and COI management. The tentative agenda for the daylong presentation is:

  • 8:30-9 a.m. - Introduction and overview;
  • 9-11 a.m. - IRB, IBC, IACUC protocols;
  • 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. - Lab animal facilities management;
  • 1-3 p.m. - egrants
  • 3-3:30 p.m. - eCOI
  • 3:30-4 p.m. - Post-approval monitoring of protocols
  • 4 p.m. until close - Information for Investigators and IT technical discussions

As technology and vendor preference allow, the university hopes to offer Zoom connections and possibly record the sessions for those unable to attend. Key Solutions will have a representative present to answer questions during the demonstration. Please check https://cws.auburn.edu/OVPR/pm/era later in the week for information about Zoom meeting participation.

Please plan to attend the session to learn what new state-of-the-art ERA systems have to offer to improve efficiencies of processes and reduce administrative burden for our researchers.
