Pradeep Lall is the Thomas Walter Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the director of the National Science Foundation Center for Advanced Vehicle and Extreme Environment Electronics at Auburn University. He has authored and co-authored two books, 13 book chapters, and more than 325 journal and conference papers in the field of electronics reliability, safety, energy efficiency, and survivability. Lall, a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, received the 2012-2013 Southeastern Conference Faculty Achievement Award, the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering Senior Faculty Research Award, three Motorola Outstanding Innovation awards, five Motorola Engineering awards, and 20 best paper awards at national and international conferences. He is the founding faculty advisor for the Surface Mount Technology Association student chapter at Auburn and a member of the editorial advisory board for SMTA Journal. He and his wife, Rekha, have two children, Malvika and Rahul.

Before joining the Auburn faculty in 1985, Conner Bailey worked in the Marine Policy Center at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and at the International Center for Living Aquatic Resources Management. His work centers on the sociology of natural resources, with a strong interest in the impact of technology on resources and the people who depend on them. In his first 10 years at Auburn, Bailey was active in the examination of environmental injustices relating to siting of solid and hazardous waste facilities in Alabama and the South. Much of his research has focused on forestry issues that involve technological and ownership changes, which he argues have contributed to a legacy of rural poverty in Alabama. Bailey also spent nine years living in Southeast Asia, including three years working on rural health in Malaysia as a Peace Corps volunteer, followed by research on upland and lowland agriculture as well as marine fisheries and coastal aquaculture. Bailey is married to Lisa Brouillette, and they have two daughters, Rebecca and Rachel.
